I’m a local New York artist born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. From a young age I felt compelled to express myself through art. Starting in my early education through High School, teachers recognized my natural ability and kept my drawings as examples for their classes.

When I landed on the shores of New York on the cusp of the 1960’s, I was lucky to find myself in the throes of a cultural and artistic explosion. The center of that was in Greenwich Village where I had a great opportunity to sit with an artist friend at the Greenwich Village Outdoor Show, and while sketching there I encountered the art teacher who suggested that I attend the Art Student’s League. Following his advice I took classes on live model drawing and oil painting. Art had always been in my life since my father painted as a hobby. Although I use the term “hobby” my Father was an incredibly accomplished artist without ever taking a lesson. His vivid watercolors and soft pastels as well as his beautiful oil paintings inspired me to explore my own talent.

After taking a hiatus while raising my children in Long Island, I went back to my passion and took pastel and oil painting classes at the Huntington Arts League. When I moved back to New York City, I again attended the Art Student’s League in Manhattan. Currently I'm a member of the Jackson Heights Arts Club in my neighborhood. I aspire to show my love of nature and how it interacts with the city I love. Whether it is from a photograph that I take or a moment when I am able to sit outside, it is all for the love of expressing myself with a brush and sharing it with the world. I may find inspiration as well from an occasional tango scene from my native Buenos Aires.
